i-Reader is a domestic medical facility provider which is committed to developing rapid immunodiagnostic technology, and the main business are POCT (point-of-care testing) diagnostic reagent and the related testing facilities. The project looks to upgrade the facility hardware design which can highlight the technical advantage of i-Reader and deliver the value of the product base on the optimization of interior stack-up and technology.

Meanwhile, the device should also optimize the usage experience of all kinds of touch points. Clients hope the design can help the brand move to mid-to-high end market of medical facility one day.

i-Reader是国内一家致力于研发快速免疫学诊断技术的公司，主营体外即时诊断试剂以及相配套的诊断仪器。该项目旨在基于i-Reader内部结构和技术升级的基础上，也可以全面升级硬件设计，能够凸显i-Reader的技术优势，以及传递出产品自身真正的价值。与此同时，该设备还应进一步优化各个触点的使用体验，帮助品牌未来进入中高端医疗市场。

Base on insights and reference pictures, we drew a great of sketches to show the innovative ideas of usage methods.

We had a co-creation workshop with clients to combine our creative ideas with their professional knowledge base, then generated workable concepts.

Because the forms and diemensions of test strip cartridge and incubation turnplate are both similar, designers and engineers decided to combine them with trash into one cylinder which can be used as a strong design feature.

Clients wanted to avoid the front door of test strip cartridge, so we designed it into side door and also rotary structure base on the result of co-creation workshop.
